Many women dread the thought of this because it is surrounded by negativity and challenges to our bodies, often requiring us to develop different coping strategies. Everyone’s experience can be different but on the whole I think it’s something that women are generally daunted by because it marks a change. A typical response might sound like this:
And it goes on…you may also be dealing with ageing parents; instability at work and the burden of a mortgage which still isn’t paid off! So, no wonder things aren’t great, it’s quite a melting pot!
I am approaching my mid 50’s, as are many friends, so I know what it can be like. As a Style Advisor, I want to help you feel good about yourself, which can become increasingly challenging if your confidence is low and life is tough at every turn. This has inspired me to team up with a colleague, Pauline Dalley. Pauline is a Kinesiologist with a diploma in nutrition. She is approaching 50 and is also passionate about achieving health and happiness in the midst of this natural life transition.
Together we have come up with a unique formula to help get you through the menopause in a positive and constructive way. By providing internal and external practical solutions to allow you to navigate through the menopause, feeling more informed, invigorated and in control of your choices.
Following two successful pilots last year, we are offering a combination of short workshops or alternatively a programme of 4 monthly sessions. We will be tackling some of the myths about menopause and help you assess where you’re at. The topics include dressing for your body shape, the importance of colour, foods that can help as well as those that hinder and why. The sharing and peer support proved really valuable in the pilots – it’s good to know it’s not you ‘loosing the plot’.
Our increasingly busy modern life styles make it even more important to minimize the negative impact of the menopause, so that you can move on to the next chapter of your life with vitality, confidence and health.
Please share this with your friends and if you want to chat in more detail, don’t hesitate to give me a call 07969516390.
