Fancy giving something in your wardrobe a new lease of life?
Join me and Steph Thannhauser on Sunday 22nd November, 10.30am–4pm at Yardley Hastings Village Hall for a relaxed and creative day of sewing, up-cycling and sharing ideas.

My own motivation for learning to sew came from wanting to make better use of the clothes we already have, reduce our consumption and think more carefully about what ends up in landfill. I’ve also discovered just how therapeutic sewing can be. There’s something really satisfying about taking a piece of clothing, spending time working on it and seeing what you can create.
Bring along a project you’ve been meaning to finish, something from your wardrobe you’d like to up-cycle, or simply an idea you’d like to explore. Simple repairs and alterations are welcome too. I can help you explore what might work, while Steph can offer sewing guidance to help bring your ideas to life.
You don’t need to be an experienced sewer — beginners with some basic sewing knowledge are very welcome.
I’m a stylist with a passion for making the most of what we already own, while Steph brings many years of sewing and creative experience, so we complement each other perfectly!
Because everyone will be working on their own projects, the skills you pick up will depend on what you choose to make or transform. You may explore simple repairs and alterations, hand stitching, sewing machine techniques, creative upcycling and new ways to make the most of the clothes you already own.
Bring your own sewing machine if you have one or use the machine available to share. Hand sewing is welcome too and there’ll be some fabrics, trims, buttons etc. available to use on the day.
£46 per person.
Tea, coffee and snacks provided. Please bring your own lunch.
If you have any questions or would like to book your place, please message me.
As always, if you need any help with any aspect of your styling, don’t hesitate to give me a shout!
